Alan Perrin and Nigel Betts are set to join the cast of The 39 Steps. They will take on the roles of Man 1 and 2 respectively beginning July 28.
Perrin has been seen on stage in His Dark Materials, The Trial, Gilgamesh, Richard III, Napoli and Millionara at the National Theatre, Cyrano de Bergerac and Henry V at the Royal Shakespeare Company and Ethel and Earnest, The Man Who… and Ritual in Blood for Nottingham Playhouse. On screen, he has been seen in The Bill, Wing and a Prayer, Prime Suspect, Wycliffe, Feast of July and Dark Corners.
Betts’ stage credits include Tinderbox at the Bush Theatre, A New Way to Please You, Thomas Moore and Night of the Soul for the RSC, Eden End and Macbeth for West Yorkshire Playhouse and Neville’s Island for Watford Place. He has been seen on television in Trial and Retribution, Silent Witness, Midsommer Murders, A Touch of Frost and Grease Monkeys. His film work includes Chain Mail, In Your Dreams and Mrs. Ratcliffe’s Revolution.
The 39 Steps currently plays at the Criterion Theatre and continues to star Jo Stone-Fewings and Josefina Gabrielle.
